Dictionary

Every word the project's grammar engine, corpus and translator use. Roots and words come from Wiktionary, verbal roots from LIV², nouns from NIL. Pronouns, particles and numerals come from the engine's own tables. A small number of words were reconstructed or coined by the project, and are marked. Each entry gives the engine's inflection, the forms in the daughter languages, and sentences from the corpus that use the word.

Search in English, in PIE or in a daughter language. On a keyboard, type h1 h2 h3 for the laryngeals, k' g' for the palatals, kw gw for the labiovelars and bh dh gh for the breathy-voiced stops. Accents are optional. A whole sentence, in English or in PIE, is translated above the matches, each word linked to its entry.
